The European Gas Conference gathered in Vienna, bringing together the worst fossil gas companies across Europe to plan, exchange ideas and make deals once again. Fortunately, the anti-gas movement came together as well in an alternative summit and challenged the conference with blockades, banners and art - drawing attention to their climate crimes and building networks for solutions for a global just transition.

The movement gathered again - but just weeks before the conference, the oil industries backed out and postponed the conference indefinitely! Scared of the public backlash and the spotlight on their destructive industry they choose not to meet in Vienna. This huge victory is a credit to the climate justice movement’s power and moral high ground in standing up to the fossil gas companies.
